Your donations are collected and managed by Demeure Historique, a public benefit organisation. It oversees and controls all donations, pays restoration contractors directly, and thus guarantees that every euro donated is allocated to identified restoration projects.

Recent surveys have revealed serious and worsening structural issues: persistent water infiltration, advanced degradation of load-bearing timber, and active fungal decay.

Three decades of restoration
Year after year, stone by stone, the château comes back to life.
2025–26Emergency works — Three simultaneous projects: Grand Staircase false attic (timber frame, roofing, anti-dry-rot fungal treatment, chimneys) East wall-walk (complete waterproofing overhaul, active infiltration) South curtain wall (emergency structural shoring, risk of ceiling collapse in the La Rochetaillée bedroom). Installation of a dry riser (exceptionally rare for a castle).
